Ichor

The Immortal Protocol

To better serve our purpose, we first need to clearly define and structure out what a Decentralized Autonomous Organization looks like — and how we should execute it. The early adopters have planted the seeds that lead to the robust solution of structured, public and organized governance. A DAO is a blockchain-based smart contract that represents a structure of ownership or control over some asset or process, going back to the above: structure of organized governance. A successful DAO can not really be measured unless it’s against a problem that it is solving; then the success would mainly be an evaluation of the organization succeeding in solving the problem.

Much like the Infinite Garden that needs certain elements like a Gardener, Soil, Water, Sun and Oxygen in order to prosper, Ichor will be coordinating as an immortal protocol of it’s own and in order for an immortal protocol to never die, it must have the right people piecing together the elements that allow us to remain immortal.

Said to live forever, the Unicorn was theorized to serve as the bridge between immortals and mortals in Medieval Europe. In current times, a utility with the logo of a Unicorn is used to bridge the gap between the supply and demand of our founding decentralized currency.
Our Unicorns will help nurture the DAO. Soulbound NFTs that are dispersed by the autonomous system will represent a quality that members carry with them, that is key to the continuation of growth.

The Eight Fundamentals must clearly be defined, and is the best way to start the DAO to have a mission everyone can get behind.

The Eight Fundamentals of Ichor

The mission of Ichor is to achieve complete decentralization as an organization focused on giving, and to eliminate power within a DAO that is solely judged by financial involvement. Decentralized technologies offered by crypto and blockchain have potential that is much greater than finance alone. Governance measure will not be based on net worth, nor is the ability to bring forth “official” i.e on-chain proposals. Only by building technical systems on top of Blockchains which are already decentralized in the manner that no one controls them and there is no infrastructural central point of failure, can we achieve a true “decentralized organization focused on giving.”

What is controlled by the Ichor DAO is the allocation of giving, and the inauguration of the proposer.

Nothing will be controlled by one, rather everything controlled by all. Nothing will be proposed by those who contribute the highest financial amount. Proposals will be made by Unicorns who show loyalty, and sacrifice some of their token holdings for a minimum of 6 months. Only those organization members will be issued Soulbound tokens allowing proposals to be put on-chain.

Our system has been architected in a way which enables our smart contract to autonomously award Soulbound tokens granted to our organizations’ Unicorns whom will bring forward proposals to the chain. The smart contract will be triggered upon a successful inauguration via on-chain voting. Members will only be considered a candidate if they show loyalty to the organization through length of stake. Simultaneously, social ideologies will be built and gain the candidate credibility, pushing our way to true decentralized authority through technical advancements via smart contracts on an architecturally decentralized technology called Blockchain.

We see many opportunities to conspire with respective organizations that align with the vision of the organization as one voice. We will position the mechanisms of the DAO to establish and foster connections between our organization and nurturing communities in which the DAO sees as a good fit. Decentralization is more important now than it ever has been. Mainstream is full failures spotlighting centralized systems that no longer protect people’s privacy. By implementing our governance system as a DAO, as a Blockchain-based organization, we can carry out the goal of dodging dependence on discretionary power.

The goal is to decentralize for robustness. That is; strong and healthy. It is important that our governance system is well designed which keeps it safe. It is the garden of life that nurtures and promotes giving in a decentralized manner. It is invoking social interventions with the goal of increasing members’ loyalty to the cause around the organization as a whole. The use of a blockchain as a decentralized, public and transparent store of data opens up the opportunity for a strong decentralized organization that eliminates the judgement of it’s members based on finances; but rather their loyalty. Not all DAO’s need to be upgradeable, but it is really interesting to create a DAO with a highly engaged user base that is collaborating on modifying and improving it’s structure as it reacts to data.

Ichor is to be built, dependent on no one and nothing. It is a smart contract that is built on a blockchain that is not controlled by any one person. It is autonomous. It is anonymous. It is decentralized.

Finally

The immortal number seen all around the world as infinity. The Great Pyramids, The Eiffel Tower and The Statue of Liberty have represented continued beliefs, stamped determination, shown generosity and sparked the optimism that can truly be seen forever. Like these landmarks, we too have the responsibility to nurture and tend to the continued building of our Ethereum; our future – ICHOR.
